The Catalyze University Park Central Ave Microgrid, located at 450 Central Ave, University Park, IL, is a cutting-edge renewable energy project with a capacity of 2.3 MW. Utilizing advanced photovoltaic technology, this microgrid harnesses solar energy as its primary fuel source. The project is operated by Catalyze and is owned by Actis Energy 5 A, under the management of Actis Gp. It is situated within the PJM Interconnection power control area and is classified as unregulated under US regulatory status. The microgrid is expected to come online in 2025, contributing to the region’s sustainable energy goals and enhancing energy resilience.
