The Bear Lake Wind Farm, located in West Hants, Nova Scotia, is an upcoming renewable energy project with a capacity of 89 MW. Operated by Renewable Energy Systems Canada, a subsidiary of The McAlpine Partnership Trust, this wind farm is set to utilize advanced wind turbine technology to harness wind energy as its primary fuel source. The project is owned by Wind Strength, under the auspices of the Membertou First Nation, and is classified as a foreign entity under U.S. regulatory status. The Bear Lake Wind Farm is expected to commence operations in 2026, contributing to the power control area managed by Nova Scotia Power Incorporated. With its strategic location at a latitude of 44.78545, the project aims to enhance the region’s renewable energy portfolio and support sustainable energy initiatives.
