Forvia has developed innovative innovations in hydrogen storage, using Conformable pressure vessels and solid-state storage technologies to overcome current challenges. These innovations aim to increase storage capacity by 30 to 40% and make it more scalable and accessible for hydrogen storage. The company uses carbon fiber with the lowest CO2 content and aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. Forvia has secured deals with two manufacturers in the U.S. and Canadian retrofit companies to expand its hydrogen storage solutions across North America. However, the cost of hydrogen remains a barrier, with Forvia optimistic about future reductions driven by advancements in proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzers.
