Engie North America has signed a deal with the 100MW BESS project in Texas, which will provide reliability and ancillary services to grid operator ERCOT to help integrate growing renewable load in the state. The deal includes EPC and operation and maintenance contracts, including warranties for availability and energy capacity. In addition, UK-listed Gore Street Energy Storage Fund plc has enlisted Nidec as engineering, procurement and construction partner for a 75MW project called Dogfish. The project is set to come online in December 2024. Alongside the project deal, Nidc has invested £15.8 million directly into the Gore Street Electric Storage Fund (Gore Street) through the issuance of 14,000,000 new shares.
