Electric Hydrogen has been awarded a $46.3 million grant by the Department of Energy (DOE) to scale Electrolyzer manufacturing at its gigafactory in Devens, Massachusetts. The funding comes under DOE’s Clean Electrolysis Program, a spin-off of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which aims to make clean energy technologies affordable and reliable. The company’s mission is to transform green hydrogen into a financially feasible commodity by achieving cost equivalence with fossil fuels. The grant will primarily be used to increase technology advancements at Electric Hydrogen’s gigafotal facility in the US, which is designed and manufactured in the U.S. to deliver the world’s lowest-cost green hydrogen.
