US renewables developer-operate Cypress Creek Renewables has completed the construction of its Zier hybrid power project in Brackettville, Texas, adding a 208-MW solar farm with 80 MWh of battery energy storage capacity. The project is expected to generate USD 11.5 million in tax revenue for Kinney County and USD 11.,7 million for the Bracket Independent School District. The co-located battery is already being used by the Texas grid operator ERCOT to relieve supply stress during increased demand. Cypress Cree Renewables, backed by Swedish investment group EQT AB, currently operates a 6-GW pipeline across Texas, with 24 projects in construction and development.
