Brookfield and partners to acquire majority stake in French renewable producer Neoen for €39.85 per share.

Brookfield Asset Management (TSE:BAMPF.PF.F), along with institutional partners including Brookfield Renewable and Singapore’s Temasek Holdings, has secured a deal to buy a majority stake in French renewable power producer Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN). The Canadian asset manager and its partners will acquire 53.12% of Neoen’S stock at a price of EUR 39.85 apiece in a block deal with French billionaire Jacques Veyrat’�s Impala SAS, the Fonds Strategique de Participations managed by ISALT, Cartusiai, and other shareholders. The block acquisition needs to be approved by antitrust and foreign investment watchdogs and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. Once finalised, Brookfield will launch an all-cash mandatory tender offer for all remaining shares and outstanding convertible bonds.
