Independent solar power developer AMPYR Energy USA has agreed to acquire two utility-scale solar projects in North and South Carolina, with a combined capacity of 210 MWp. The two schemes are currently in advanced stages of development and AMPyr Energy is hopeful of securing long-term power purchase agreements as early as this year. The investment builds on AMPY’s growing US pipeline of over 4 GW of carbon-free energy. AMYYR Energy was launched two years ago by AGP Sustainable Real Assets and AMPAYR Group’s Hartree Partners to establish a 5-GW solar portfolio.
