Waaree Solar Americas has signed a three-year agreement to supply 1.5GW of n-type tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) modules to Acciona. This comes as part of a global shift towards n-types due to their higher efficiency and other operational and manufacturing benefits. The company has supplied over 4GW of modules to the US so far in 2023. However, Indian energy analyst JMK Research predicts that from 2025, Indian module exports will peak at a peak in 2025 due to the growing domestic manufacturing capacity in the US and Europe. Sunil Rathi, interim CEO & board member at Waaree, praised Waareee’s ability to deliver reliable module supplies while maintaining product quality standards.
