Vehicle-to-grid technology (V2G) is becoming more accessible due to its complexity and flexibility. The technology can either charge the parked electric vehicle’s battery or send its power back into the grid. However, implementation is complicated as there are insufficient numbers of EVs available to play a significant role in improving the flexibility of the power grid. V2G can also provide ancillary grid-services, particularly as renewable energy sources become more prevalent, helping to reduce grid challenges rather than exacerbating them. The article also notes that Tesla has made V2 compatibility announcements, including the design and specifications for their network’�s charging plug-in/port hardware, the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector, and seven automakers have adopted the NACS standard. The SAE International Technical Information Report has also identified the J3400 connector as the standard connector for EVs and renamed it the NAF.
