U.S. consumers are increasingly considering electric vehicles (EVs), which are expected to make up 9% of new car purchases in 2023, according to data from EV Hub. Despite reports of slower EV uptake, experts believe that supply chain shortages have resolved. Joel Levin, executive director of Plug In America, said that while there have been hiccups in the transition to EVs, overall sales continue to grow. The Natural Resources Defense Council reported that U.S automakers have invested over $210 billion in developing EV manufacturing capabilities. In the US, there were 136,000 EV sales in September, a 67% year-over-year increase.
