The companies stated that the energy storage industry has been struggling to secure insurance coverage due to high-profile incidents of thermal runaway which have led insurers to reduce available capital. The partnership aims to offer financial benefits to the entire energy storage markets through its autonomous monitoring and analytics. In addition, TWAICE has released a whitepaper named Thermal Runaway Mitigation for BES Insurers, which includes three real-world case studies where its software analytics helped identify an issue with an asset and a storage system.
