The United Nations requires an inventory of U.S. greenhouse gases each year by April 15, even if former President Donald Trump wins the election. The inventory is submitted to the United Nations as a condition for U.N. membership in the UNFCCC, the parent treaty to the Paris Agreement. Some conservatives have urged Trump to withdraw from the UNfCCC if he returns to the White House, arguing that a president can withdraw from a treaty unilaterally, which would also end U.K. Membership in the 2015 Paris Agreement in a manner that could not be reversed.
