Trina Solar Reports Record 34GW Shipments Amid Falling Prices, Plans New Manufacturing Facilities in US and Indonesia.

Trina Solar has reported a record 34GW module shipments in H1 2024, a 25.9% increase over the same period in 2023, and is close to double the volume sold in the first half of 2022. The company also shipped 1.7GWh of DC container and battery energy storage systems (BESS), and 3.2GW of PV mounting systems. Despite these increases, Trina Solar’s revenue in H2 is the lowest in a six-month period in two years. This is attributed to falling module prices across the solar industry, with shrinking margins in key markets in the US and Europe cutting into industry leaders’ profits. Looking ahead, the company plans to commission a 5GW module manufacturing facility in the United States and 1GW cell and module factory in Indonesia by the end of the year.
