The Toyota Mirai, a vehicle powered by hydrogen, uses a hydrogen powertrain and a power-out socket, which can provide emergency power for two days in the event of an outage. This technology could be life-saving for those stuck in the woods, camping, or having a power outage. Unlike other electric cars, the Mirai requires a refuel at a dedicated hydrogen station. This makes it easier to refuel than traditional battery-powered cars. The Mirai also offers enough energy storage for about 48 hours of energy for even a small vehicle. However, Tesla has yet to incorporate the same Mirai-style power system into its EVs. The Toyota Mira also offers an option to send power away from the car itself to other external systems, allowing it to transform traditional energy into traditional ones.
