Terrasmart launches hail protection for solar assets; Canadian Solar shares drop 15% after disappointing Q2 earnings.

Terrasmart has launched a hail mitigation system that automatically protects solar assets without operator intervention. The number and scope of electric vehicle regulations and charging incentives are increasing. Several utilities plan hydrogen power projects that may crowd out renewables. However, another research group warns that these projects may conflict with renewable energy. Researchers in Morocco have found that anti-reflective coatings enhance solar panel performance under desert conditions and enhance the energy yield by 2% and 5.5%. Canadian Solar shares fell 15% following Q2 earnings report, with $1.64 billion in revenue, down from $2.36 billion the previous year’s Q2.
