Sunrun Reports Strong Q2 Earnings, Surpassing Expectations with $524M Revenue and Promising 2025 Cash Generation Guidance.

Sunrun (Nasdaq: RUN) delivered its Q2, 2024 earnings, meeting analyst expectations for revenue and providing promising guidance for cash generation in 2025. The residential solar and energy storage provider reported $524 million in revenue for the quarter, in-line with Wall Street expectations. The company also delivered a surprise earnings per share of $0.55, up from the expected loss ($0.40). Sunrun added 26,687 customers in Q2 and annual recurring revenue from subscribers was approximately $1.5 billion. Net earning assets increased to $5.7 billion, including over $1 billion in total cash. Sunrun also closed an $886 million securitization of residential solar/battery systems. The firm has installed over 116,000 solar and storage systems, representing nearly 1.8 GWh of stored energy capacity.
