Sungrow Energy has announced a 1GWh+ BESS deal with US developer Spearmint Energy, which will see PowerTitan 2.0 installed at Texas projects through 2025. This follows a successful partnership with Sungrow, which previously provided Sungrow BESS units to power Spearint’s first major project, the 150MW/300MWh Revolution project in Texas. The deal does not specify which projects will be included in the new agreement. Spearmin will also acquire a 900MW three-project portfolio in Texas from an unnamed developer in March 2023. Wood Mackenzie ranked Sungrow as the second-top energy storage system integrator globally for 2023, following a loss to Tesla last year.
