Standard Solar, a Brookfield portfolio company, has acquired a portfolio of solar projects in Vermont from local developer MHG Solar. The projects will produce power for local utilities under Vermont’s Standard Offer Program and have a power purchase agreement with VEPP Inc. The acquisition follows Standard Solar’s partnership with MHG in 2020 for a 3.2-MW solar farm in Wallingford, Vermont. Standard Solar continues to expand its presence in the renewable energy sector, contributing to the growth of solar power generation in the region. The acquisitions are set to be completed by the end of this year and include sites in Fair Haven, Middlebury, Berlin, Brandon, Castleton, and Poultney.
