SolarEdge, a solar optimizer, and home energy storage provider, has launched Re-Energize, a service that offers retrofit upgrades to existing U.S. customers. The program offers several upgrade options for SolarEdge projects installed before June 2022, including adding more solar panels for up to 200% oversizing, adding home battery backup, and connecting home energy devices like EV chargers, load controllers, and more. The company also offers promotional pricing for the Home Hub inverter, which comes with a 12-year warranty and a 5-year data cell card that extends the ability of the home energy management system to connect to smart devices and appliances. SolarEdge and its competitors, Enphase, have had a difficult year, with their stock prices dropping over 50% of their value.
