Solarcycle opens new Mesa headquarters, aims to recycle one million solar panels annually, creating 100 local jobs.

Solarcycle, a solar recycling company, has opened its new headquarters in Mesa, Arizona. The headquarters includes a recycling facility, a research lab, and office space. The facility will initially recycle 250,000 solar panels each year and then ramp to one million panels per year to meet growing market demand. Solarcycle’s technology extracts 95% of the value from recycled panels, including silver, silicon, copper, aluminum and glass, and sells these higher-purity materials back to the domestic supply chain. The company plans to create over 100 local jobs and is hiring for positions in production, engineering, operations, IT, finance, sales and marketing, and management. The firm has also received a $1.5 million research grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to study the process for recovering higher-quality metals and materials extracted from retired solar panels.
