However, India continued to suffer from a long-standing dip in solar irradian due to the prolonged monsoon season, resulting in reduced solar resource availability. In the US, some regions benefited from the El Niño effect, while Central America had stronger than average irradiance. Despite this, extreme weather conditions could damage solar projects at the regional level, with frequent and severe hailstorms in the US and Australia causing losses on solar projects and potentially affecting the insurability of projects.
