Sol Systems has secured a $250 million financing deal for a 189-MWp solar park project in Southern Illinois, partnering with Tenaska and SOLV Energy. The project will be part of a larger 300-MWP development in partnership with Tenask, with SOLv Energy serving as the EPC contractor. The first phase of the solar park will feature US-made solar panels and racking, with electricity generated being transmitted to the Ameren Muddy-Norris City line. In addition to providing renewable energy, the project aims to support biodiversity by creating a pollinator habitat and planting grass and wildflowers.
