The Solar and Storage Industries Institute (SI2) is launching its Solar + Farms Survey, a research project on agrivoltaics, which involves the use of land for growing crops and generating solar energy. The survey is seeking responses from those with experience in agrivolaics and attitudes towards solar energy projects sited on farmland. All respondents will be anonymous and no individual or company will be identified in the results. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) estimates there is nearly 6 GW of agivoltaic generation capacity in the United States, which is likely to rise sharply as potential for agrivotaics is understood. The organizers will randomly select 25 respondents for a $100 Visa Gift Card once the survey closes.
