Senate to Vote on Bipartisan Bill Aiming to Block Biden’s Electric Vehicle Production Plans and EPA Rule

The Senate is set to vote on bipartisan legislation to block President Joe Biden’s plans for electric vehicle production. The bill, S. 4072, is co-sponsored by Energy and Natural Resources Chair Joe Manchin (D-W.Va), aims to nullify EPA’s emissions rule affecting cars and small trucks. Other Democrats may also vote yes. Sen. Jon Tester (D) Montana suggested that EPA could have crafted a better rule to move the industry with competition rather than regulation.
