The Senate is set to vote on bipartisan legislation to block President Joe Biden’s plans for electric vehicle production. The bill, S. 4072, is co-sponsored by Energy and Natural Resources Chair Joe Manchin (D-W.Va), aims to nullify EPA’s emissions rule affecting cars and small trucks. Other Democrats may also vote yes. Sen. Jon Tester (D) Montana suggested that EPA could have crafted a better rule to move the industry with competition rather than regulation.
