S&B Completes Largest U.S. Liquid Hydrogen Facility in Georgia, Set to Supply Major Retailers Starting February 2024.

S&B has completed the construction of the largest electrolytic liquid hydrogen production facility in the United States, located in Woodbine, Georgia. The project was developed for Plug Power and is set to play a crucial role in advancing the production of green hydrogen in the country. The facility, which includes the largest proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer system in the US, can generate 15 metric tons of liquefied hydrogen daily and is positioned to serve major clients such as Walmart, Amazon, and Home Depot. The first filling of a tanker with liquid green hydrogen will occur in February 2024. S&B’s involvement in this project included engineering, procurement, and construction activities, with the initiative officially starting in 2022.
