Sabanci Completes 218MW Cutlass II Solar Project in Texas, Eyes Next Project Oriana for Continued Growth.

Sabanci Renewables has completed the 218MW Cutlass II solar project in Texas, with the project set to be completed in April and connected to the grid operated by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). This is a significant milestone in the successful project, and Sabanci Climate Technologies president Ismail Bilgin is looking forward to continuing this success on its next project, Oriana, which is another solar farm in Texas that Sabanci invested US$243 million in March and plans to commission in the second quarter of the year. US-based solar tracker manufacturer GameChange Solar will provide trackers for the project. These projects are expected to contribute to the US Solar Energy Industries Association’s prediction that Texas will add 40.9GW of new capacity in the next five years.
