RWE Clean Energy has purchased 599MW of US solar and storage assets, including the largest 300MWac Cedar Ridge solar PV project in Blaine County, Idaho, and the 199MW/796MWh Remington BESS in Marion County, Oregon. The acquisition expands RWE’s existing footprint in the Pacific Northwest of the US. The company also plans to install 20GW worth of solar and wind capacity across its markets by 2032. The smallest of the three assets is the 100MWac Champlain solar project in Washington County, New York. RWE is the US renewables project subsidiary of German energy company RWE Group, formerly known as Con Edison Clean Energy.
