RWE AG Partners with WhiteRock to Boost US Renewable Energy Projects, Targeting 30% Global Green Capacity by 2030.

RWE AG’s clean energy arm, RWE AG, has partnered with WhiteRock Renewables to develop US renewable energy projects, aiming for a 30% global green capacity by 2030. The partnership aims to accelerate the development of onshore wind, solar, and energy storage projects in the US. WhiteRock is expected to originate and develop 4-5 GW of renewables, with RWE having the option to acquire these projects as they mature. RWE aims to increase its US portfolio to make up 30% of its global green installed capacity by 2025. Hanson Wood, Senior Vice President of Utility-Scale Development for RWE Clean Energy, stated that the company is investing billions to expand its US and has enlisted WhiteRock to help achieve its growth strategy. Currently, Rwe has over 9 GW of net installed renewables capacity in the the US and aims to surpass 19 GW by 2030, with over 9GW of capacity in total.
