Report Accuses Major Corporations, Including Stellantis and Delta, of Greenwashing While Lobbying Against Climate Regulations.

A report by the environmental group InfluenceMap accuses major corporations of “greenwashing” their climate goals, while behind the scenes they are working against them. Stellantis, the maker of Chrysler, Jeep, and other major auto brands, has pledged to produce half of its vehicles sold by 2030 and build two electric vehicle battery plants in the U.S. to help achieve this goal. However, the company is reportedly lobbying against stronger vehicle emissions regulations. This comes as part of its plan to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2038. The report also accuses Delta Air Lines, ExxonMobil, and several utilities and manufacturers of working against climate action. The article also discusses the impact of AI-powered smart devices on global energy demand.
