RE+ Trade Show Highlights Renewable Energy Manufacturing’s Role in Community Growth and Job Creation Across the U.S.

The largest renewable energy trade show in North America, RE+, has highlighted that new manufacturing facilities are driving community resurgence, economic development, and job growth. The panelists discussed the importance of expanding U.S. manufacturing capabilities for the success of the energy grid, stating that there is no energy independence without the development of the necessary infrastructure. As federal and state incentives have accelerated development of new manufacturing, this has also seen far-reaching impacts outside of increased power generation. The impact on the local community and employee lives has been one of the most noticeable and dramatic results. Eos Energy Enterprises, a zinc battery manufacturer, opened its first manufacturing facility in 2019 and began commercial production of its Eos Z3 batteries in August 2023. The economic impact of these facilities can increase by 50 times more jobs.
