RE+ 2024 Highlights Innovations in Residential Battery Technology from Anker, Briggs & Stratton, and FranklinWH.

At the RE+ 2024, the focus on residential battery technology was highlighted by companies like Anker Solix and Briggs & Stratton. These companies are developing partnerships with solar and storage installers to establish themselves in the industry. Anker’s X1 energy storage system features stackable 5-kWh battery modules and increased temperature resiliency. Briggs & Statton acquired energy storage systems maker SimpliPhi Power in 2021 and has kept the SimpliPhilli name while improving the LFP battery’s dependable design. The updated SimpliPHI 6.6 system can be installed in less than five minutes and is inverter agnostic. FranklinWH’s updated aPower battery system offers a warranty of 15 years or 60-MWh throughput, surpassing the industry standard 10,000 cycles.
