Houston, Texas-based long-duration energy storage solutions provider Quidnet Energy has attracted an equity investment from local peer Hunt Energy Network (HEN) and an agreement to collaborate on deploying 300 MW of projects across the state. The investment includes a $10-million ($EUR 9.21m) investment from HEN, which will also give HEN a seat on QuidNet’s board of directors. The partnership will combine the geomechanical energy storage (GES) solution with HEN’�s subsurface technologies and its capabilities in implementation of energy storage projects. This partnership is expected to help accelerate commercialisation for major clients like San Antonio-based municipal utility CPS Energy.
