A new poll from Third Way suggests that President Joe Biden’s best strategy for electoral victory may be to emphasize his policies that reduce pollution, gas prices, and utility bills rather than addressing climate change. The Inflation Reduction Act, Biden’s biggest climate victory, addressed these issues through expansion of clean energy. However, many voters are more motivated by concerns over the economy and inflation, the poll found. 35 percent of respondents said that inflation/cost of living was their top concern, while 22 percent said protecting democracy and the right to vote was a top priority. Only 6 percent ranked climate as a priority.
