NY Power Authority Seeks Collaboration on Renewable Energy Projects to Meet State’s Ambitious Clean Energy Goals

The New York Power Authority (NYPA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to assess potential interest and opportunities for collaboration with renewable developers, contractors, and companies on projects such as solar energy, wind and battery energy storage. The RFI is specifically seeking information about joint development opportunities in support of New York State’s aggressive energy goals, which include achieving a zero-emission electricity sector by 2040, 70% renewable energy generation by 2030, and economywide carbon neutrality by mid-century. The results of the RFI will inform the Power Authority’s next steps in advancing a cohesive transition to a clean energy economy for New York state.
