Northland Power Inc (TSE:NPI) has completed the sale of its 130-MW La Lucha solar park in Mexico, with the company expecting to receive about $205 million in cash after taxes and fees. The sale was completed to Cometa Energia SA de CV, a subsidiary of Mexican independent power producer Saavi EnergÃa. The funds will be used to repay debt drawn on Northland’s revolving credit facility and use some for general corporate purposes. The transaction aligns with Northland’s strategy to focus on its core markets and simplify its business structure.
