New Hampshire and Delaware primaries heat up as candidates focus on climate change and energy strategies.

The 2024 primary season will conclude with several closely watched contests, including a race for a New Hampshire congressional seat and a gubernatorial election in Delaware. Candidates are vying to replace Rep. Annie Kuster (D), who is retiring. The Democratic primary is set to see lawyer and former Justice Department official Maggie Goodlander against Colin Van Ostern. Goodlander has stated her intention to hold corporations accountable for climate change and establish a place for New Hampshire in the global climate fight. In a separate debate, two Republican candidates mentioned the need for more energy as a key strategy to combat inflation. In Delaware, the field includes Collin O’Mara, former Delaware secretary of natural resources, and Lily Tang Williams.
