Nevados Launches All-Terrain Solar Tracker to Boost Land Use and Comply with US Inflation Reduction Act

Nevados has launched an all-terrain tracker to increase the use of land for solar power. The tracker features bidirectional, automatic stow, resulting in up to 50% faster wind and hail stow. This is the practice of changing the angle of solar modules to protect them from adverse weather. As global solar installations increase, the land land needs will also grow, with various governments implementing restrictions on land used for solar generation. Nevados’ products reduce the need for levelling land, which can impact land quality and biodiversity. The company also stated that the trackers can be produced in a way fully compliant with the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Domestic Content bonus, which awards an extra 10% tax credit to solar projects that use at least 40% US-made components.
