France’s Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN) has officially launched its first solar photovoltaic (PV) park in Canada, a 93-MWp plant in Alberta province. The Fox Coulee solar farm is expected to produce about 100 GWh of power annually, enough to supply around 20,000 homes. The operation will support Alberta’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2035. Neoen’s province leader in Alberta, Ryan Dick, stated that the company has high ambitions in the Canadian market and is currently developing many other solar, wind and battery projects to accelerate the energy transition.
