Hydrogen company, Nel ASA, has restructured its prior agreement with Nikola, a key player in the electric vehicle industry, and is now partnering with Fortescue’s 80 MW Phoenix Hydrogen Hub project. This move is part of Nel’s strategic initiatives to bolster its industry standing and promote sustainable energy solutions. The updated agreement involves providing 110 alkaline stacks and related Balance of Stack (BOS) equipment for Nikola, indicating a change in Nikola’�s hydrogen ambitions. As part of the revised agreement, Nels will receive $9 million in compensation to counterbalance the impact of this revised agreement on its operations.
