National Mining Association Joins Lawsuit Against EPA’s New Climate Pollution Standards for Power Plants

The National Mining Association is joining the legal battle against EPA’s new rule to reduce climate pollution from the power sector. The trade association has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Court of the Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to block the new standards for coal and gas-fired power plants. This comes after Republican-led states and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association sued EPA in the same court. The mining association also plans to ask the D.C. Circuit to freeze the rule.
