National Grid Renewables has begun construction on the Dodson Creek Solar Project in Highland County, Ohio, which will generate 117 MW of solar power across 1,300 acres by mid-2025. This is the company’s fourth solar initiative and second in the county, part of its growing portfolio in the state, which currently totals 558.5 MW. The project will use First Solar’s Series 7 modules, produced at the company. Kiewit has been appointed as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partner for this development. Construction is currently underway and the project is expected to become operational by mid 2025. The Dodson creek Solar Project will contribute to reducing carbon emissions and reliance on fossil fuels, supporting Ohio’s goals for sustainability and clean energy.
