Brookfield Renewable, Microsoft, have signed the largest renewables offtake agreement with 10.5GW of power. The agreement could potentially increase the scope of the agreement and deliver additional capacity within the US and Europe, and potentially in other markets such as the Asia-Pacific region, India and Latin America. This is Microsoft’s latest offtake deal as it has secured several solar power purchase agreements (PPAs) with developers including Primergy, Recurrent Energy, Apex Clean Energy, and EDP Renewables. This agreement is ten times larger than the largest single corporate PPA ever signed.
