IPP Lydian has launched a 1.7GW US solar and BESS portfolio, backed by infrastructure fund Excelsior Energy Capital. The IPP is backed by capital from renewable energy investors, with two projects, AC Ranch I and AC Ranch II, set to be built in Hobbs, New Mexico, with a commercial operation date (COD) of 2026-2027. Currently, three of the BESS projects are located in Texas and have a COD of 2025 and are in the pre-construction phase. The technology used for either the solar PV or BES projects has not been unveiled yet.
