Lawsuits challenging a new Biden administration fuel economy rule will be heard in a conservative-leaning federal appeals court in Ohio. The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation announced that eight challenges to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration rule for passenger cars and light-duty trucks will be consolidated at the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati. The lawsuits were filed by 26 Republican-led states, the American Petroleum Institute, and other industry groups. Critics have accused the Biden administration of trying to reduce gas-powered vehicles off the road.
