US Special Envoy on Climate Change John Kerry is set to present a vision for an inclusive future in fusion energy at the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 28) in Dubai, UAE. The plan aims to foster increased collaboration with other nations and focus on the commercialisation of fusion energy. Kerry revealed these plans on social media platform X following his visit to the corporate headquarters of Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) in Devens, Massachusetts. CFS was established in 2018 as a spin-out of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Italian energy company Eni is a significant investor and collaborator with CFS, and has played a pivotal role in supporting its rapid growth.
