Kentucky Power Issues RFPs for 875 MW Summer and 1,300 MW Winter Capacity to Meet Customer Needs.

Kentucky Power, an American Electric Power (AEP) company, issued three Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to secure additional resources to satisfy the needs of its customers. The three RFPs solicit bids for approximately 875 MW of PJM-accredited summer capacity and approximately 1,300 MW of PPA-accreditation winter capacity via one or more Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) from the following resources located in the PJM region. Businesses seeking to submit a proposal can access criteria, required forms, and other specifics online at www.kentuckypower.com/rfp. AEP is one of the largest electric utilities in the United States, delivering electricity and custom energy solutions to 5.4 million regulated customers in 11 states. The company’s plans include growing its regulated renewable generation portfolio to approximately 50% of total capacity by 2032.
