Investments Surge in Perovskite Technology, Signaling Promising Future and Two Decades of Growth Ahead.

Rethink report has found that new investments into perovskites could hint at the end of false dawns. Key players entering the space and the coming online of several 100MW pilot lines have shown growing interest in the technology. The report expects two decades of “unrelenting growth” in the sector from 2026 onwards, and noted that both reliability and data remain “key for any investor to take this technology seriously. Major US companies such as First Solar, First Solar and Evolar have all made investments into the perovSKite space. Meanwhile, South Korean manufacturer Qcells has invested US$100 million in a pilot line for tandems and Italian module maker Futurasun acquired perovSkite start-up Solartix in June.
