Invenergy, a prominent privately held developer, owner, and operator of sustainable energy solutions, has announced the formation of the Jersey Link initiative, a renewable energy transmission initiative in New Jersey, the US. The project, previously known as Atlantic Power Transmission, is designed to facilitate the integration of up to 3,600MW of new offshore wind into New Jersey’s grid, providing power to millions of homes across the state. The initiative aligns with New Jersey’s goal to incorporate 11,000MW of offshore wind by 2040. Invenergy acquired the project from Blackstone Infrastructure Partners, who will continue to provide ongoing support for the initiative. The company is committed to advancing workforce development through strategic labour partnerships and building a technically robust, economically viable, and constructible project.
