Infinium, a producer of ultra-low carbon eFuels, has secured a significant funding partnership with Brookfield Asset Management, worth over $200 million for Infinium’s Project Roadrunner in West Texas and up to $850 million for future projects. This investment marks Brookfield’s first direct investment in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), which can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90% compared to conventional fuels. The investment will accelerate the production and deployment of these next-generation fuels, which are critical to decarbonizing aviation, shipping, and long-haul trucking. Infinium CEO Robert Schuetzle expressed excitement over the partnership, stating it will help scale global supplies of these efuels to meet increasing demand.
